My Internship at Progyny: Shaping the future of women's healthcare

This summer I was an Emerging Talent intern at Progyny, which provides fertility and family-building benefits through employers. I rotated through six teams: Member Services, Member Experience, Digital Product, Utilization Management, Medical Economics and Analytics, and Human Resources.

For Digital Product, I built a product roadmap from stakeholder feedback, weighing user needs against business goals and projected return, and presented it to the team. For Member Experience, I turned Net Promoter Score data into Excel pivot tables and charts and looked for the patterns behind member feedback.

I presented a conference-style report to the Utilization Management team on how evidence-based utilization management supports clinical decisions and member care, and researched infertility trends for Medical Economics and Analytics. I also sat in on live calls with Patient Care Advocates, helping coordinate support for members.
